You should do something awesome with your body. You should do something that will make you feel totally free. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t; that you are going to be totally horrible at it. Being able to move your body is the most freeing thing you can do for your mind and spirit. Exercise helps you move in ways you may have forgotten you could.
What would you do if tomorrow you couldn’t move your arms, or your legs and your body just didn’t work anymore? One morning you just woke up and couldn’t move anymore. What would it do to your spirits, your hopes and your dreams? Would your life change if there was no way to get around? You may have limited movement of your body now.! You may not be able to touch your toes, or even see them anymore. You may not be able to bend and stretch and reach. Your body may be stiff from sitting or inactivity. Don’t let your body fall apart; become inactive and become a temple of doom.
You don’t have to be an athlete to move and do exercise. You don’t have to be an expert to know that moving your body is good for you. Get up, and get moving a little each day; until you are doing things you never thought you could again. Get out and walk, go to the park and play a game of catch; do something that is fun and it will stick. Correct those years of immobility! Fix those bad habits and get up and start moving! Exercise is one of the most important things you can do for yourself all day. You might be rich, or successful, or just too busy to exercise. You limit your ability to enjoy life when your body is sick and falling apart. Keep your life balanced between work, the family and your own needs, so you can enjoy what you work so hard for.
When you were a child did you skip and run and play all day? Do your children even do that now, while they are still young? Some children have little body movement all day long, sitting and playing on devices. You as their parent are their role model. Get your children moving; take them alone with you. Children need to move more than their fingers clicking buttons on electronics. Unplug and get back out into the world and explore; and create a new relationship with yourself and your family.
We can not become a nation of unhealthy people; we just can’t afford it. We don’t need a world of computer junkies stuck watching life through little screens. Life is meant to be enjoyed, our body is meant to move, and our mind needs to be challenged. You need to touch and feel things; experience the sights, sounds and smells around you. Get up and get moving, find a good activity. Enjoying how your body can move and stretch and feel so good again with activity. Your body might get sore; thats your body telling you it did something. The benefits you will see after just one week will be remarkable; I promise.
