Try not to be too critical or interfere too often in your child’s practice and your coaches instructions. Being too critical of your child’s instructor may result in bad feelings for everyone involved. Let the coach do their job and instruct your child.
Most likely you do not have much experience as a coach and that is why you signed your child up to join the team. Undermining your child’s coach may psychologically demotivate them to do their best; this could affect the whole team.
Work with your child and their coach and try to find ways to support them. The parent, the coach and the student are a team. The more these three important parts work together the more success there will most likely be.
